I would say she's just lucky. Indecent exposure means being in view of the general public, regardless of whether you are on your own property or not.
05/17/2007 I just found out today either Connecticut or Vermont (I don't remember which) has no law on indecent exposure. So if you live there, I guess your safe.

Nobody complained.
There was a case I saw reported on some news magazine show:
The neighbors were at home, shades closed except for a small sliver of a view, and they were engaging in marital "relations."
A man across the street used a zoom function video camera focused on the sliver of view and filmed them as reflected in their vanity mirror.
THEN he called the cops, turned over the film, filed a complaint of indecency saying that his kids might have seen it - and the couple was arrested and they LOST THE CASE!
Just goes to show you - not all justice is just.
If she does it again - and you don't want kids seeing her - test her theory.
Peace.

It is considered to be public indecency, and is illegal. She is probably lucky that no one reported her, she could have been arrested if she had been seen by a child.
Goodness, I hope I don't ever see any of my neighbors walking to their mailbox in the nude. That would not be good.

It's just that nobody saw, or complained. depending on what she looked like, I WOULD'NT complain either!
Ya can go nekked wherever you want on your own property, so long's it's not visible from a public, or neighboring area. High fences, or trees that obscure, etc. are O.K. So long's it's private and hidden from public view.

Yes you could get arrested. The charge is called "indecent exposure", darn shame about that arrest. Mom should have known better.

Yes.
Even though a person is in their own yard, they could be in trouble for public exposure.
She was lucky nobody complained.

In some places, such behavior can get you locked up for psychological evaluation.
Being arrested seems better.
