Honestly, I do....
There are so many times when I think to myself mankind is doomed... we are so lost.... so self absorbed.... so hurtful...
But eventually I do, see or hear about a random act of kindness that just blows me away and confirms what I do know and believe.... that man / woman is inherently good....

There is goodness in mankind but it is seldom used to its potential. My last question is a great example of that, most of us are so self absorbed we don't even offer advice to people experiencing troubles. Think about it advice is free and if you can guide a friend toward a job, new apartment, automobile, girlfriend, rehab or any kind of direction you could change their life. Instead it is I have four house, two snowmobiles, six cars and three boats. I think that I made my point. The people calling the shots are busy collecting material goods while the rest of us are just trying to get by. I am talking about America the division is growing.

There is no such thing as goodness of mankind. Just look at our history and you'll see our violent past and how history keeps repeating itself. We can only hope that mankind evolves into a more intelligent being and we can lay the past to rest.

Mankind is not basically good. We are born into sin and we are sinners by nature. Any good in us comes from God.

I believe that mankind has the potential for great goodness, but it is not from us...nor is great evil....we are only carriers of both and we choose which one to use...
