I don't shop at ANY national chain stores. I prefer to support my locally-owned independent retailers, even if I have to pay a little more. However, IF I had to shop at either, I'd shop at Target before ever entering a WalMart store. The way WalMart browbeats its vendors and suppliers, works its overseas employees as virtual slaves, and treats it American workers like dirt is despicable - especially when four of Sam Walton's descendants are always among the Top Ten Richest People in the World. These evil, greedy multi-billionaires could easily afford to share their wealth with their employees, but they CHOOSE to hoard it all for themselves. -RKO- 5/15/07

I shop WalMart and get a lot of flack from it,, I shop at the grocery dept there and buy the very same products that I would get at Korgers or Safeway,, yes very same, but at 30 to 80 % less.. I had to,, I couldn't buy at Kroger anymore since the first of the year prices have gone up so much it was getting to expensive to eat...Walmart opened a super store here near me in the Pacific Northwest a year ago and altho I have to drive 25 minutes to get there I still save a bundle...I also shop at other parts of the Walmart store too..drugs and cloths and dog goodys for my Dashounds...maybe some parts of the U.S. Walmart has been given a bad name..but I really prefer to shop there and can really tell a big diffeance in my buget and I eat much healthier..another thing I've noticed is this Walmart buys alot of food locally...from farms, produce, eggs, meat and so on and alot of the labels are U.S. companys... which I didn't like about the others stores, so much was from Chile, Mexico and Central America...the WalMart produce is of much better quality and fresh...

I hate Walmart. I worked at Target last summer and I didn't enjoy working there, but I still enjoy shopping there for essential items like toiletries and such. Walmart is trying to build a supercenter in my community, despite the fact that no one in the community wants them here, there's already a walmart, and there are four grocery stores within a mile of eachother on the same stretch of road. That's a big reason why I hate walmart.

I love Target. I tolerate Walmart. I go to Target for fun, funky items as well as birthday presents for birthday parties of my kids' friends. Walmart I shop for more household items. Going to Walmart is not as fun. I don't buy clothes at Walmart but I always buy fashionable items at Target. Target rocks.

Never go to walmart-never go to target! Walmart sucks, doesn't pay employees enough and screws everyone in the process, and target is a frog owned company, I don't want my money going to those fools either!

Since Walmart was the only store that cared to come to our town, I actually am thankful for Walmart.
