You know how we sometimes think to ourselves"This and That" in our minds? can a deaf man do that?---Since a blind man has never seen a damn thing, can he dream of anything?

I don't have any proof or anything, but I believe they both can. Just because they physically can't see or hear doesn't mean that they don't have the ability to dream or talk to themselves. Some blind people became blind over time, same for the deaf, so they know what it was like to see and hear.

Yes, but in colors we do not see and with sounds we cannot hear. The mind is a layering of experiences. For instance, apple for me is red, about the size of a fist, juicy, sweet, grows on a tree, keeps the doctor away, etc.

The blind man is absent the sight, but has the other experiences of it. Therefore, when he dreams of it, there may not be the same past experience of apple involved, but as far as the object of intention is concerned, the apple is the same. (Additionally, dreams are not so much visual as they are the firing of brain cells when Serotonin is converted to Melotonin causing random interactions, so dreams are not a requirement of sight or senses, but of a mind)

The deaf man may speak with himself in his head, but it may not be in an audible manner that we would comprehend. Still, they may oddly be the same thought if we agree there is an object of intent. If he thinks of the apple for instance and some interaction with it, our "audible self speech" may express the same thing. There's no doubt if we posed the question to a deaf man he would initially think to himself something to the effect of, "Idiots..."

1. Yes. The blind can dream. It will also depend on when someone has lost their sight as to the images that can be "seen" during a dream. As dreams also include sights, sounds, emotions, etc. the dream can be measured in the blind person who will also experience REM sleep. The blind as well, can also recount their dreams.

2. Yes. A deaf person who has learned language can also speak to himself in his head. "Thought" requires a language. As research with children has demonstrated, even someone with a limited vocabulary can still carry on a conversation with the self -- also called self-talk, inner-voice, inner dialogue, etc.

For a sighted person, we can also dream of the unimaginable -- you may see a human fly. That is, a human can dream of things that are not possible in the real world. The dream for a blind person can also have this quality.

PTSD suffers have also been blind. That is that they can experience "flashback" without the visual component if they have been subjected to a trauma in their life.

Blind people can and do dream actually and some even dream in color. There is no reason why a deaf person couldn't speak in his head, especially if he knows sign language, which is a legitimate language.

For one : Yes. When we dream, we are dead in this conciessness and go to (a) whole new dimension(s)! There for, this blind man might not be blind in this dimension, and, see. This is a proven fact that they can see in their dreams! It is even possible for someone born blind; it must be delightful!

For two: Yes, if that deaf man knows how to hear. And if he has a brain.
And please continue to ask these questions! c0-:

the best answers to these would come from a blind man and a deaf man, but i would have to answer yes. to have thoughts doesn't require sight or hearing. also, if a tree falls in a forest where there is no one to hear it, does it make a noise?

Yes! They certainly can. These are something to do what we actually do not need any support from outside. Your brain is enough for these.

BTW, I had a friend and he used to piss away his pants every night seeing a\the same terrifying dream.

no, if he has never seen color, shape, size, or any structure, he can't imagine something, unless in that "dream" all that happens is that he hears people voices

no, he can't hear anything so sound is not existing and as there for canot, as well, imagine what sound is
