when he (Giuliani) failed to refute Congressman Paul's argument? Congressman Paul merely stated that actions have consequences, nothing unreasonable there.

What are your explanations for the causes of September 11th.
Here are mine:
America helped arm a group called the Mujahideen in their war against the Soviets in Afghanistan (1979-1989). As you should know, they succeed in driving out the Soviets.
In 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait. The government of Saudi Arabia, concerned about a possible invasion needed help. The Mujahideen (or Al-qaeda) offered to defend the kingdom, but the Saudis refused. Instead, they called on the Americans to come, but to leave after the Iraqi threat was neutralized. This angered the Al-qaeda leadership, who vowed revenge.
So while, Congressman Paul's facts were not as relevant as they could have been. His ideas about blowback were spot on.

Chainsaw: I think its interesting that you resort to name-calling rather than simply refuting his argument. One might think your argument is too weak to be convincing if you use those ad hominem attacks.
