The problem with John and Rudy is that they will dowhat is best for the country and that may not toe the Republican Line.

Fred is a bit more malleable, which means he can be more controlled by the party.

Rudy and John will tell you to park it where the sun don't shine, even to their own party

Fred Thompson is being considered by the Republicans because they have a depleted lineup together with Giuliani and McCain who are considered not at par with either Obama and Clinton.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know if Thompson will likely win.

I don't know if Mr. Thompson is going to run or not, but I do know he sticks by what he says. Unlike the other candidates who tow the party line and say what they and their staff think Americans want to hear, Mr. Thompson will tell you what he believes and stand by it. If any major party would field a candidate like that, they would get my vote, because then at least I would know where they stood.

Guiliani and McCain are not conservatives. The base wants a conservative. Look at the polls Thompson and Newt are polling between 20 and 30%.

He is a known conservative and known by the public. That is why. The first real conservative that shows up wins the nomination.

He'll only declare if he can raise some serious cash quickly. I am sure he is telling the insiders telling him to run is that the undecided primary voters remains a huge block, but he needs proper funding to make a run.

I don't think it's just based on the fact he's a TV star.. It's more based on the fact that he was a Senator in the past.. I think possibly his record from when he was a Senator and what he stood for, etc.. might be part of it..

But then.. I don't know :)

He is just like Ronald Regan. A Hollywood star.

Ronald Reagan was a second rate film star and they worship him. Though why, I cannot figure out.

They want another Ronald Reagan, in other words, "actor."

He was a big money raiser for Libby's defense trial, so that puts a negative mark against him.

Yes they do.

Fred may be the only conservitive and traditional candidate left that loves America and wants to see her prosper. This crew in the running has no guts!
