On the whole i really don't care for them. This has sparked some arguments between me and my friends. Really, i just don't care for them. Personal taste. Its not that i don't like 70's music or older rock or anything. I love the Velvet Underground...and for me, and from what i've read of the bands i listen to, those guys had a much larger influence than led zeppelin.

One thing i do enjoy listening to is an album called "there's nothing new under the sun" by Coalesce. They're an amazing metal band from KS that is unfortunately no longer together. Well, its an album of nothing but their interpretation of led zeppelin songs. I would rather listen to that over the original recordings any day. Just me...

Lol, I am wearing a Zeppelin shirt right now. I think they rock. They are awesome. Bonham was and is the epitome of rock n' roll. All of Zeppelin are true rockers. Like, Jimmy Page liked girls, and guitar. Just plain out rocked. Just the little freestyles in there music, the songs like Stairway to Heaven, Black Dog, Dazed and Confused, or like the Immigrant song just rocked the stages.

It's amazing to me how many times this particular band comes up in YA, even thought they haven't released and album of original material in almost 30 years!!! It's so great to see that young rock fans (I'm 45) appreciate how incredible and influential Led Zeppelin was. Fantastic musicians and lead singer, indelible songs and surprisingly versatile, the legacy of LedZep will last forever!!!

I love Billybob's answer, "HE ROCKS" that's good stuff.

Yeah, he rocks just like Pink Floyd and Jethro Tull.
They both rock as well. Maybe all three should start a power trio.

Not trying to be mean, Billybob, but maybe you should look on the back of a Zeppelin album and read the credits/personnel.

Sorry, Billybob, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Maybe your just joking around.

Great band , classic songs , blah blah....

Robert Plant: great vocalist and writer , copied by many

John Bohnam: Historically one of rocks best drummers, one of the best drum tones ever.

John Paul Jones: Great player, great producer.

Jimmy Page: Amazing Writer , technician, producer. Great acoustic player, and great electric player in the studio, sometimes sloppy live player though.

......nevermind, scratch that last bit, i don't want Peter Grant's Ghost to come and haunt me and have me beaten in my sleep....
