I do remember them. Sad to say, they weren't even a "one-hit wonder". I can't recall any of their songs. Even when I looked them up on wikipedia, the songs still didn't sound familiar.
I remember them also from American Graffiti, and the keyboard that looked like the front grille of a 50s model Chevy!

That's a flashback!!! My first concert in 1973, (I'm not giving up my age am I ???) Was Flash Cadillac opening up for Iron Butterfly.Thank's for that question it brougt back some cool memory's.

I see the other two replies remember them as Herbie and the Heartbeats from American Graffiti, but not their appearance in Apocolypse Now. Interesting.

I remember the name, but I don't know any of their songs.
My older sister would know more about them.
It seems like one time we were watching a movie or a TV show and they appeared in it. It's vague to me though because that was 30-years ago.
