I'm studying the effects of Marijuana and what affects the mind while under the influence of it.

try listening to trance. i was never into it until i heard armin van buuren's album stoned in my friend's car. it's like the trippiest sensation ever...like you're traveling through the song with you mind. download songs by infected mushroom.

They'd listen to the music that they listen to when they are not under the influence. Whatever kind of music they like. I don't smoke marijuana personally but I know a lot of people who do. It isn't like one minute they are listening to punk or ska and take a hit and go, "oooh . . . I wanna listen to Dave Matthews."
They listen to whatever music they like when they are not high. But if you really want to believe that there is a "type" of music that people who smoke listen to then here is a list culled from my collection which I have been told makes everyone think I smoke:

You could also add The Grateful Dead and Phish to the list. But I still think it is silly to think that people choose their music based on whether they are sober or not.

Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin,Nirvana you know the Classic stuff like that. Or maybe Queens of The Stone Age,Corrosion of Comformity, or Wolfmother (it's called Stoner Rock for a reason).

As has already been pointed out, people who are high listen to the same music they listen to when they are straight.
If you are after a drug related song, I don't think anyone has mentioned "addict" by K's Choice.
