No, not all all. The key to world peace is education for all those who desire to learn.
*addendum. "...especially those who are aggressive in their desire to learn."

Read: Jon Glover "Humanity: A Moral History of the Twentieth Century." Religion is often the scapegoat of modernity because it has the potential the challenge the intellectual foundations of secularity and offers an alternative vision of what human existence should be concerned with. Also, modernity has from its inception made the claim that it would deliver us from the violence and tyrrany of religion. However, the secular ideologies of modernity have proved just as brutal, violent, and enervating of the capacity for human flourishing as any religious worldview. You might as well ask if the key to world peace is no longer having politics, nation states, economics, science-- in fact all the endeavors of human culture are implicated in violence and belligerance. The enemy is not religion, the enemy is ourselves.

that would make everyone the same to a certain degree, and sameness does not equivalate peacefulness.....it is not religion that creates the war...it is a lack of understanding the other side because understanding to some, means that they might be accepting it as valid...and with all religions claiming "the truth"....validating another belief would be sinful....i think all religions should come to the basic understanding that all faiths preach "you are loved"....all faiths also preach "and so are they".....people have a hard time hearing the "so are they" part....which creates animosity...if people would learn to live by the commandments and religious laws they believe are true, they would not bicker so much and kill one another....i suggest reading the children's book The Old Turtle and the Broken Truth....it is a beautiful book on this subject

I think that the key to world peace is more having everyone under one religion... because a truely religionless person is nihilist, because without a deity or something of that effect, nothing matters. That would give quite a few people more than enough security to murder.

Maybe. As long as God is in the picture, religions can formally be dismissed.

Atheist people have their concepts of fear backwards. They have a deep fear of not surviving, which religious people have less of. Atheist people also are fearless or have less fear when it come to breaking moral laws. For these reason an atheist society could be no more than a dictatorship.
