Yep, it greatly corrupts the minds of many teenagers who hide themselves in the nasty lyrics that it gives to the public. Although not all rap has bad lyrics, I cannot stand the annoying sound of constant banging. However, it's just my opinion and I can't judge those who listen to it as well as they can't judge me for my opinion.

Hell yeah, I agree. I've been saying that for YEARS!! You can't spell the word crap without rap. Plus the way the rappers talk sounds ignorant. There is a lot of unnecessary swearing in rap as well, including the use of the N word.

Majority of the things they rap about now a days is garbage! Rap used to be good. KRS One, De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Common, these are some examples of great lyricist. Allot of these rappers today just say stupid stuff behind a good beat. Real Hip Hop is great, but it's slowly dieing.

From a personal viewpoint I have to agree, however, Rap has been used to creatively enhance songs from Blondie's Rapture and Wham's Wham Rap to adding rap into remixes of great pop songs and giving them a different feel and even appeal to a wider audience. Rap has definitely made it's contributions to the music world, but I don't like to listen to it!

no i dont agree. thats just like me saying that rock & roll, country, or hard metal is crap. all you have to do is say that you dont prefer to listen to rap music. but thats your opinion because im sure there's a lot of people tha could say a lot about the type of music you listen to. RAP is a way we express ourselves. just because you dont get the concept and where it originated from doesnt mean that you have to criticize somebody else's culture or way of life.

No. Just coz you dont understand something doesnt mean its crap. Probably what your hearing is radio and MTV "rap", which isnt even rap its pop music. Bow wow crap ? yes. Tupac shakur crap ? definatly not.

Rap with a lot of cursing and that all the lyrics include talking about drugs, violence, and sex is bad, but otherwise it's fine for me. Not every rapper talks about those things or curses a lot.
