What is a real protest that will work and get the point acrost that WE THE PEOPLE will not tolerate this any more. Does any body know or have any idea how much gas prices have flutuated in England ...... Only about five cents in the last three years. Now why is that????

Considering that the oil companies make about eight cents a gallon in profits, and the government makes half a buck, perhaps the boycott is aimed at the wrong place.
That is exactly right it is not aimed at the gas station. I have read all the reports of why gas fluctuates so much but come on. The end result is higher prices for everything. Break it down to every product or service that is affected by gas. So how much does that extra dollor a gallon realy cost you ????

It's not really going to change anything. People either bought the gas a day earlier, or will a day later. No matter what they still sell the same amount.
Now if people made a real effort to use some other form of transportation for a week. Walking, bicycles, busses, or even just carpooling/combining trips. Then maybe you'd see a difference. But good luck even getting 1% of the U.S. to make an effort for that.

sure, i visit connect this attempt, yet a sooner or later gas-out would possibly no longer consequence the oil companies. we are going to all would desire to fill up the next day. A boycott of gas companies would be plenty extra effective. that's, boycott BP for a month, boycott yet another gas enterprise for the subsequent month, etc. If we stand mutually and do this faithfully, it could have a plenty extra advantageous impact. I nevertheless think of the sooner or later ingredient is extremely worth doing, if only to tutor our team spirit, and that i visit honor the gas-out.

The rest of the month I personally am walking most of the time hey the weather here is right. Everyone needs to make a commitment to start even if it is just small, just start somewhere. Even one day every week. I am sure we can all use the exercise/

I didn't buy fuel today, but I didn't need to. When I looked at the gas stations, plenty of people were fueling up. Just think, billions more profit made today, and who's paying? The American worker.

if you want to send a message, a day not at the gas station will not work,.....you need to have a boycott of not driving for a while like a couple weeks, but then even when you start to drive again, you must do less of it to save gas

Buy Japanese cars that average 45 MPG rather than US ones that average 24.1 MPG. Buy a bike and ride short trips. Walk to the shops - catch public transport.
Bottom line is you have to USE less fuel - not simply buy it on a different day.

Ride a bike. Walk. And for the times you need to drive, trade your car in for the most fuel efficient car you can find. We need to stop purchasing cars for how they look, or how big they are and start thinking about the economy and environment.
