Chavez Ravine is the name of the site on which Dodger Stadium is built.

Also, when the expansion LA Angels played there for their first few seasons, the park was called "Chavez Ravine" whenever the Angels hosted a game, as calling it "Dodger Stadium" for the sake of an Angels game was considered awkward. It was done with a wink and a grin, no one was fooled nor was supposed to be.

I still remember the day my brother and I listened to Vin call Sandy Koufax's perfect game on a little transistor radio out in our back yard. The whole neighborhood cheered!!!
