Absolutely. An officer may take you in at any time with out giving you a reason for up 72 hours depending upon the jurisdiction.

Yep, he can. Driving is a privilege and you were driving with a revoked license. If you weren't driving, then I guess I don't see why he would bother unless you were just being a jerk.
I don't see why you couldn't tell him unless you were just lying anyway.

Well, were you driving? If you were driving on a revoked liscence, he had every right to ask you what ever questions came to mind. Why didn't you just tell him.

In my own opinion, I would say no. But I'm probably wrong. If it's because of a medical reason, I'd think that would be under Dr. and Patient confidentiality. But, again, I'm just giving my opinion.
