For so long I have been depending on my best friend. I used to follow her around and she was always in control. I was always following her map, if I may. Now I don't need her to lead me, I can take care of myself, and make my own decisions. What do you think of this? By the way I am 14.

I think that at your age, it's perfectly understandable to admire a friend so much that you would follow them around and let them take control. I think it's really good that you've found your own way because while our friends tend to shape our lives very much as far as who we are, what we learn, and sometimes even the people we become as adults(I'm 26), they are not us and nobody is exactly the same in mindset. I think it's important that you let your friend know that you still care about her and if she's a true friend then she'll understand. You've got a lot of years to make friends, some who will come and go, and it's important to always be who YOU are no matter what :)

It's ok to have a friends who you wanna spend your time with but don't just concern yourself with her approval. Be yourself, people can tell if your being fake. And remember, all the little things that seem so important now, you'll laugh at later. Don't take things too seriosly, enjoy life the way you want to.

this happened to me and my "BFF" was ttly a leader
i was really getting annoyed
but she started to ignore me and i started to ignore her
too
so now we are ttly major enemies the whole skool has ever seen
