I believe, only for entertainment purposes, that "Eye-In" Zehring pronounces his name this way. It's so he can stand out and his "name" will be remembered and he'll be able to re-start his career. He was previously married to one of the "Price Is Right" models as well, but that ended in divorce.
For those of you who do not know who he is, he was considered one of the hearthrobs of the show "90210" and if I'm not mistaken, during this time in his career, his name was pronounced "Ee-An".
By the way - I too, HATE the way he is now pronouncing his name. It sounds ridiculous.

You should probably blame his parents for the pronunciation, not him, but it is not the most idiotic name in the world. Check these out.

Is it eye-in or ee-in? I've never heard much about him 'till Dancing with the Stars. I trusted them!
