I encountered a "big foot" a number of years ago in the woods near Mount Hood. The "big foot" came crashing and bellowing at me out of the woods as I sat at a picnic table at a roadside rest stop. I stood up and it kept on coming - so I drew my .44 revolver and pointed it at the critter's face and ****** the hammer. All of a sudden, "big foot" skidded to a halt, yelled "Oh s h i t!" and turned around and ran the other way. He got in about five steps and ran slam into a tree. The big mask he was wearing came off and he landed in a heap, bleeding from his nose and mumbling incoherently. He finally got up and looked at me. I fired one shot in the air and he took off again. Poor sucker's prolly still running. I've never laughed so hard in my life!
