What is wrong with my last question about the age limit of getting your driver's license? I was just told future generations would suffer... Can anyone tell me why?

Sorry I don't know how to post a link....

Nothing at all was wrong with it. You're allowed to express your thoughts, just like everyone else here.

I don't think she meant anything personal. I believe what she meant is young drivers around your age have more accidents. Statistically that is. That the limit should be a little higher. Starting at the age 13 every kid just can't wait for there god given right to drive a car!!!! And hearing statements like that are not what you want to here but. Young minds (I'm not saying everybody!) just don't realize all the things that can happen. Racing, loud music, speeding, giggling with there friends, cell phones, alcohol, not being able to multi-task, day dreaming are some of the most known reasons for wrecks and too many of our loved ones are dying. Us parents just cringe when they hear of a wreck, and can't relax till they see there child It is overwhelming. Anyway it was nothing personal I'm sure...

You post a link by copying the url in the address box at the top of your screen, then pasting it in your question area.

My father used to work in insurance. While there are bad drivers of every age, race and gender, the drivers who are aged 16-21 tend to have the greater percentage of "accidents" overall for a group. Having a higher age limit would be advantageous, as would having more stringent testing.

Hope this helps.

There was nothing wrong with your question. Just because someone was smoking crack before they got on the computer shouldn't upset you. You got several good answers, don't let one bad one get you down.

I think most 16-yr. olds are mature enough to drive, but there should be more extensive training and testing.
