We have a science worksheet due tomorrow morning. I don't like my science teacher, because she can't teach. Umm..we will go over it tomorrow, but i can get points taken away because i didn't get it finished.

Questions:
1) What is the equation for density? If the volume of a cube is 4cm squared and its mass is 16 grams, what is the density of that cube?

2) How can you tell when an object is denser than another object?

3)What is the chemical composition of salt?(What elements is it made up of?)

4) What is the chemical composition of water?

5) Describe the water cycle, from the ground and back.

6) In changing solids to liquids to gas, melting and boiling are caused by the addition of what?

7) In changing gas to liguid to solid, condensing and freezing are caused by the removal of what?

8) What is the chemical equation for burning wood?

1.Solving For Density
m = 16 gram = 0.016 kilogram
v = 4 meter^3 = 4 meter^3
density (d) = 0.004 kilogram/meter^3

3.Chemical properties of salt, sodium chloride http://www.saltinstitute.org/15.html

4 h20 hyrdrogen and 2 parts oxygen

5 http://www.nwrfc.noaa.gov/info/water_cycle/hydrology.cgi

6 heat-- Some solids are hard and strong, others are flexible. Most solids will melt when heated and liquids evaporate to form a gas.

7 When the temperature drops, energy will be sucked out of your gas atoms. When you reach the temperature of the condensation point, you become a liquid

8. C6H12O6 + 6 O2 -----> 6 CO2 + 6 H2O

Methinks your attitude hampers you in this class, not the teacher. What I always tell MY students is that I'm not here to be their "buddy" (but if it happens, fantastic), but rather to teach my subject. Obviously, your teacher gave you an assignment for a reason and wants YOU to use YOUR brain to come up with a solution. Therefore, I'm not going to give you the answers because I think you need a life lesson. DO YOUR OWN WORK

density is mass divided by area.

if they are liquid, more dense will sink. otherwise, the density is higher than the other, silly.

salt is NaCl (sodium and chlorine)

water is H2O

water evaporates, it collects in clouds, it rains.

heat.

heat.

8-??? wood + heat = ash + carbon dioxide maybe
