Is it coffee, a shower, the idea of doing something enjoyable on that day, the annoying alarm clock, etc......?

For me, it's that thought "Hey, I'm going to have some fun today! Woo hoo!". :)

It's a combo of coffee, alarm clock, and a shower. I always suck at waking up in the morning, so I got a job where I go to sleep in the morning and work at night.

The first time I wake up it is only 2-3 hours in. This is to get kid off to school.
The second time a couple hours later (if that is I can fall back to sleep) it is COFFEE lol! Like you it is what is my activities for the day after I get Mr. off to work.
Since it is that time of the year it is warm and the flowers and plants need tending too. Then it has been our vinyl record collection getting them and the cassettes onto the computer, cleaning them and reminding myself what we have. All the while being on the computer onto some web site lol!

Isn't life fun :0)

Well making money wakes me up everyday, and I don't drink no coffee (haha ain't got none)

as for how to wake up which you didn't ask but I'm going to answer anyway because you should have asked that too...

you need to lay in bed for at least ten minutes going from a sleeping state to a wakeful state (try to sleep in a room with eastern facing windows so the sun can wake you up instead of an invasive alarm clock. and also gives energy, makes you feel good with warm sun, as long as there AC is on in sum sum... as for laying there... if you rush up fast you can get head rush feel nauseus or forget your dreams. laying there a few minutes lets you meditate.

A shower is pretty much the only thing that can wake me up in the morning e_e

But if I'm really excited about something for the day, I'll be anxious to get out of bed =o

Well, if you wanna avoid the coffee and meds addictions, then a morning shower and a smoothie usually works wonders for myself and a lot of my friends. If you want to go the extra mile, try some powdered vitamins and supplements (like protein powder) in your smoothie as well.

Music. I love music and all the emotions it brings. I wake up to music every morning.
Today it was this song, which I thought was perfect:

Last thing I remember sayin’ bye to yesterday
Glad to see it over, pullin’ covers over my head
But what were You doin’ while I dreamt the night away
‘Cause I can tell that somethin’s different and
My eyes ain’t even open yet
I’m smellin’ coffee, birds are singin’ just outside

At the moment I am 34 weeks pregnant, and apart from getting up all night to go to the loo, the hard kicking of the baby usually has me up in no time in the morning. Plus I still have morning sickness.
