I mean by email... or visits to their 360?
I've had a couple people thank me... and thought it was sweet... but is this something I should think about doing...? I mean is it common curtesy... or just sweet people...?
I'm not sure I'm that sweet to be honest...

Yes I always go back and leave a thank you and make sure they didn't leave me a comment or add onto the question. I just made it a habit the 1st best answer I got

You could. I have had it happened and have visited some 360s. I think if you it is cool. However, sometimes times is a factor so you cannot always respond to everything.

It depends on how difficult the question is. If it's just "Who is cooler, Spider-Man or Superman?" then a personal thank-you is not needed.
If your question is something important and urgent, and you get just the info you need, then you might want to send a thank-you email.

Face it we are a_ _holes at times and sometimes we are sweet. If I like a persons writing I will thank them, it is that simple.

if its a 360 friend i send them a page comment if not, i will post a comment below the question itself

well sometimes I comment in the comment after the best answer thingy, but I dont think any one goes back to check it =p

I do not personally thank them for best answer, because it is not necessary. My answer was my thank you, how ever given enough of them we will probably become friends.

No, Dragon generally doesn't do that... She has on rare occasions, if it was someone she really wanted to thank. But generally, she doesn't.
