You moved because San Diego has become a hellhole: traffic jams, crime, lousy public school, house prices out of control, and of course-the highest gas prices in the US.
Look at the nice house you can afford in Memphis ($130,000 for a new 3BR/2BA in a nice subdivision with the good schools. Take your friends to one of the best music scenes-in the world! [Beale Street rocks; it's not that watered down gaslamp tourist trap]. OK-nothing beat carne asada burritos from Roberto's- but nothing beats the world's best barbeque at Interstate BBQ in Memphis.
I dropped out of San Diego 20 years ago. It's nice place to visit, get my surfing fix-eat some fish tacos-get my drink on in Rosarito. But then it's back to a normal life with a beautiful wife and kids in a house I can afford with the best public schools in the US, and virtually no property tax.

I don't know why anyone would ever move from San Diego. I feel your pain, what were you thinking?
San Diego might be the prefect city in America. The best weather, beaches, shopping, nightlife, great economy...I could go on and on.

Act in haste, repent in leasure!
In Arizona we know what carne asada is. In Memphis you can have catfish, frog legs, squirrel and corn bread. Eat hardy!! LOL.
