While they do not actually rhyme, the way people pronounce them for the most part would make them think they do. Also, a word of advice concerning rhyming in poetry. When rhyming, make sure the rhyming makes sense for what you are trying to say, especially to yourself. Also, you do not need to rhyme for it to be poetry. I will be listing a "source", though it is not a source per se. It is actually a recording of various British actors/musical performers reciting/singing Shakespeare's sonnets. Think of it as inspiration.

Do they don't, but that might not be a problem. If everything else rhymes and those lines are the odd ones out, it'll probably clunk. However, if you treat the non-rhyming as a feature and "paint it red" ... Here's an example: —————————————————————— ARMS AND THE BOY Wilfred Owen (1893 - 1918) Let the boy try along this bayonet-blade How cold steel is, and keen with hunger of blood; Blue with all malice, like a madman's flash; And thinly drawn with famishing for flesh. Lend him to stroke these blind, blunt bullet-heads Which long to nuzzle in the hearts of lads. Or give him cartridges of fine zinc teeth, Sharp with the sharpness of grief and death. For his teeth seem for laughing round an apple. There lurk no claws behind his fingers supple; And God will grow no talons at his heels, Nor antlers through the thickness of his curls. ——————————————————————
