i remember one of his newer songs "Angel" bcz somebody dedicated it to me ... also i remember a 1983 movie called "National Lampoon's Vacation" starring Chevy Chase, when he gets lost with his family in a Chicago ghetto and stops to ask for directions, his son asks "dad, why do all these men look like the Commodores?" LoL it was hillarious!!!
