Yes, definitely get a voltage adapter. You got your laptop is the US, and the US household voltage runs about 115 volts AC. In some countries that voltage is going to be much higher, so if you plug in your laptop with no adapter you will end up burning, smoking piece of junk. Also, other countries may use a different-looking wall outlet than what you're used to seeing in the US;when you get an adapter, you must make sure that the adapter can fit the foreign outlet, too.

Yes the power supply you have is just fine but stop by Radio Shack and pickup a international plug adapter kit, should not cost over $15 but if you want to wait can buy single adapter in any hardware store or electronic shop in the country you are going to....

check at the local computer store, you might be able to buy a different power supply for use overseas, they gennerally run 220volts over there as opposed to our 110 standard. Take your original power supply with you, if you don't find a power supply before you go then when you get to where you're going you should be able to buy a power inverter that will reduce the voltage for you laptop. Check at radio shack too, they might be able to set you up or at least tell you where you can get what you need. (use the phone to check around)

what you need is an adapter to charge your laptop. You also need a strong case that could hold your laptop. these cases should be cushiony but the outside should be tough. you also should get a lock so you could prevent anyone from stealing your laptop.

make sure you know your laptop. try inquiring to the place/store you bought the laptop from. know the voltage they use in the country you are going to, then make good decisions. good luck! and enjoy your trips!
