I was trying to install Hoyle Board &Puzzle games onto my computer, and when it was about 75% finished with one of the installations, an error message came up and said that a file named "data3.cab" was missing and it could not finish installation. Is this a Windows98 problem? Do I need to update my OS to fix the problem? I think I've seen this message before on an older computer I had. These games installed just fine on my last computer that I gave to my father-in-law, but this one I have now, which is also used, is having this error message. Any advice?

A cab file is a compressed installation file that the software developer used to require less disk space. When you run the installation program it decompresses these files and puts them in their proper locations onyour hard drive. This error indicates that your drive is having a problem reading the disk. If this is on a CD try cleaning the disk. If this is on floppy disks I would contact Sierra for a replacement disk.

Hope this helps.
