Meaning we set up the government, but they can vote for changes that they want to make. We can make a democracy and hold elections, in which any educated Muslim can run. We can oversee his desicions, and let the people vote.

Uh, that's what we did.

Not working really well.

You can't have genuine legitimate elections when the country is in a state of constant violence.

What's been wrong all along is that it is both illegal and wrong for one country to take over another and try to run it against the will of the governed.

That's why they hate us and want us to go away.

The USA is indirectly ruling Iraq today. That's why the freedom fighters keep killing you. Take a look in a dictionary an insurgent is a person fighting against a legal government. The present Iraqi government is a puppet regime.

What would your proposal solve? We want to get ourselves out of Iraq, either by ending the violence and declaring victory or some other means. Nobody wants to stay there permanently.

Why not send the cities of New York and Detroit over. We will overwhelm them by shear numbers. The city's populations get a new outlook on life, new markets etc, and we get a 51st state.

Not the way we work, not ethical. Islam may be very scary for us in it's goals for world domination, but it took the Twin Towers/911 for us to finally act, and even then in a measured response.
