Ah, the agony of decluttering. Do what I did - make a clean break. Dumpster time. You'll be glad you did when there's room for oxygen in your house again. ;-)

Don't let go of your favorite shows, why buy them on DVD when already have them? I still record off TV if I don't have the time to watch a program. With the price of a new video tape of less than $1, I don't see a market for a used one and you would find that no one wants to watch what you taped. When I buy a DVD Recorder I'll record my home movies to DVD but little else.

you could bypass from the coax left precise and video outputs of the VHS participant into a similar connections on a video seize card. maximum enjoying cards incorporate bundled utility..and there is freeware to do the job too. I genuinely have seen stand on my own VHS to DVD contraptions for as low as one hundred or so... Or whether that is an entire stack of VHS....that is trouble-free to easily drop them off at a business enterprise which will do it for you!

EAT THEM.
OR..
Go to a local high school and ask the computer teacher about how to go about that, a local college should have the actual equipment available, or a big library. Don't use a company to do it for you, put time and energy towards doing it yourself.
Afterwards donate them to the library or a local video store.

If there isn't anything sentimental on them such as a wedding or grandpa Phil's 88th b.day or something,I would just get rid of them. They take way too much room and nowadays you can find just about anything on dvd or better yet download.
Well,best way?Garbage pick up day...maybe?
Good luck.
