My g-ma mailed me a pack w/ the tank and everything for my b-day (i guess she still thinks I'm 5). I was just wondering that if i do all the little steps and stuff, will they live??

Sure. They don't live all that long usually... maybe a few weeks or so, but they will hatch out and live. Cut grandma a little slack, it's the thought that counts and I'm sure in ways she does wish you were still about 5, but that parents and grandparents for you. As goofy and stupid as it sounds, you'll understand one day. If you are into aquariums and stuff it's a pretty cool thoughtful idea for something that could be mailed :)

OK... since everyone is telling... I'm over 40 and still have a sea monkey tank I got as a kid. Every once in a while I fill it up and hatch a batch of them just for fun.

Yep. Fascinating little shrimp aren't they.
Incredible that a living thing can be freeze-dried, put through the mail, and revived by water and then be alive again.
