I hear people saying they got hats, or tote bags.. The only free thing I have received is violation notices.

Same here. I got a violation too, only for asking if there were any Pennsylvania residents on line. Yet, lots of users abuse the system with such harsh, rude and perverted answers and questions. It's not right.
Oh, I never heard of getting a hat or tote bag.

Speaking of violation notices I was the happy recipient of another today no doubt from a troll who answered the question and was nailed with a lot of thumbs down . It's too bad yahoo doesn't seem to take into account the reporters answer to the question . Anyways that aside I have received a large yahoo coffee mug , a yahoo key ring , a bumper sticker and a few complimentary letters , but none of those lately lol .

Back in March of 2006 I got a wallpaper when I got to level 5 which I didn't take. Since then nothing. They have been talking about tote bags and things. I have no idea what that is about.

I got a keychain and then a mug on my one year anniversary this past January. I've only ever received one violation ever from a silly teen girl complaining that I criticized Paris Hilton. So far, then, my rewards outnumber my penalties.
And, I just saw a few minutes ago that you can sign up for the Green Contest. Once you register, the first Best Answer you get in any category, they will send you a compact flourescent lightbulb.

Hey Lt Dan! I just got an offer for a tote bag! the e-mail said it was for level 2 and higher! Not sure if I'm going to get it or not! My mom used to work for the cable company and got all sorts of free goodies from the different cable channels so I have tons of junk like this around the house. I remember she got a cocktail shaker from TBS because they were having a .007 marathon! So consider yourself lucky you haven't been bombarded with useless crap from Yahoo!

When I got to Level 7 they sent me a nice black fleece jacket with the Yahoo Logo/Level 7 on it. My son wears it and likes it. It was of good fit and quality. The violations are not free by the way ...they charge you 10 points for each one.
Anyway, I do this for fun or until it stops being fun. I like to skip around to different categories to keep it interesting.
