i need to do a report on a master artist, that is over 100 years old..example picasso, but i cant use him..any suggestions?!

There are alot I'll give you some of my favorites.

1400's
Giovanni Bellini
Botticelli

1500's
Titian
Leonardo Da Vinci (wouldn't recommend someone this well known)
Michelangelo (same)
Raphael

1600's
Caravaggio(my personal favorite)
Diego Valezquez
Jan Vermeer

Leonardo Da Vinci! I loved his work, the art and science. Also there is Michaelangelo. Raffael. Donatello. I don't mean the Ninja Turtles. They are real artists of Europe. Good Luck!

You may have seen the film the Girl with the Pearl Earring. The painting is by Dutch painter JAN VAN DER MEER (1632-1675), more often called Vermeer of Delft - - so if you choose to write about him it would be very topical. (The book on which film is based is by Tracey Chevalier)

Cezanne (basically began modernism), Matisse (weird looking people), Degas (ballerinas/drawing), Manet, Monet (water lillies)

well as for religious artwork there was Velasquez whom partnered with murillo,then also you have monet,renoir,van gogh,Rembrandt,.if you have a p.c you can find ones that can match up to certain years. good luck.
