Spiderman 2 is easily the best of the two. Spiderman 2 has a great story and I thought there was a lot of character development. I really enjoyed Kirsten Dunst/Tobey Maguire/ James Franco's performances. Alfred Molina was great too. The story was still fresh and I cared about the characters. In Spiderman 3 I didn't care about the characters as much. The film felt like it was rushed along and they had to jam as many villians and subplots as possible. Venom's character could have been/should have been taken out, he barely contributed to the story.

To me spiderman 3 had to many villians and was rushed cause of that. Venom wasn't done very well and the movie came no where near to the depth of him, the suit and spiderman drama. Venom don't really show up till the end then ask sandman for help, which the real venom didn't need help. Also they didn't go into detail about venom's views of being an anti-hero, which he was more of then a villian. As far as sm2 and sm3, which is better, i'd say depends on what you like. Sm3 would have been way better if they dropped the sandman and had venom as the main villian, they could have kept the goblin cause in the comic spiderman did fight other smaller villians in the suit, where he got more kill craze then normal. But if you looking for a film packed full of venom, it's not this one.

spider-man 2 was way better than the third, i guess the fact that spider-man 3 became #1 across america is because they thought it would be as good as the other ones

i have heard from almost everyone that spiderman 2 was the better by far. i think spider man 3 got too hyped up before it came out so when it came out people were expecting alot and in the end they ended up dissapointed.

spider-man 2 was wayyyyyyyy better than spider-man 3 but spider-man 3 wasnt that bad........you should still see it

may be SM 2 was better but i dont think so . bcoz SP 3 got a lead more than SP1 and SP2 so we cant say that SP2 was better than SP3. any ways i think all the 3 Movies was better but this movie on the top so , SP3 is the better

Graphics-wise, SM3 is definitely better than SM2..
Action-wise, SM3 is also better.
However, one thing that one would ponder about is that the confusion of villains in the SM3 movie as compared in SM2.As you can see, in SM2, Spiderman has only one foe to deal with which is not the case in SM3... Still, SM3 is a great movie with the dramatization and the angst Peter has to deal with. He also has to deal with his inner self. For those who likes movies with depth, SM3 is really great compared to SM2..

2 is better. 3 has way too many CGI's
