The capital of the Czech Republic is Prague.

Prague... and why do so many Americans still insist on calling it Czechoslovakia??? That country hasn't existed for fourteen years! Why don't you just refer to northeastern Germany as Prussia or call Slovenia "Yugoslavia"? Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic. Bratislava is the capital of the Slovak Republic. There is NO Czechoslovakia anymore!

Sorry... it's always been a pet peeve of mine how many fellow Americans seem to deliberately keep themselves in the dark where ultra-basic geography is concerned.

Prague -- or as we say here (in the Czech Republic): Praha. It is also called "zlatá Praha", meaning "golden Prague".
