am i still due an evaluation and pay increase along with other employees who are not getting laid off as i am if the evaluations occured before my lay off date? is it legal to inform an employee 15 days in advance that he will be laid off?

Employees must be informed at least one month before being laid off under the applicable provisions of the labor laws. The notice must state the reason for the separation, benefits or payments if applicable and the date of effectivity.

It is legal to lay off an employee with no notice and without a contract you are not entitled to a pay increase...if you have a contract then you get the increase.
