I have a policy. I never believe anything I hear and only half of what I see. People love to embelish a story. Men and women alike. And gossip is nothing more than a rumor with some truth attached to it. I use to teach, and I used an exercise called "rumor clinic" You take 5 people. Tell one person a story (privately) then have him/her repeat the story to the next person and so on til all 5 have heard and retold the same story. The resulting final story will chill you to the bone. It will be nothing like the original story. Yes, gossip is very dangerous. And it can and has destroyed people.

I have been a gossip and yes it can ruin someones social life even if it is true.

Gossip is as stupid as the word sounds and looks!!! And it could ruin a persons social life only if they let it.Personally..I get a kick out of gossip if it's about me because it's usually way off track.But don't trip cause your to sexy to let it bother you...

Those are quotes...I could not have said it better myself. Gossip is usually created by those who have the least facts, often spoken out of spite and/or ignorance.
