Yes. It is not the environmental movement - that's not a religion, contrary to the loons who say so. The religious left is mostly Christians. Look it up on Wikipedia.

There is also a spectrum of conservative to liberal in various religious issues.

my understanding is...they believe in old school religion...helping the poor, turning the other cheek, religious beliefs are a private matter between you and god....stuff like that.
