hey guys, i wanted to ask if anyone of you know how much do songwriters get paid... AROUND how much? because ive heard they get like, 100 dollars for EACH song.... i would have to make THOUSANDS of songs in order to be rich! (i mean, since i have heard that songwriters get paid so much and are rich)

Not enough. You have to work hard and get a hit before the money starts coming in. Why do you think there are so many performers who write their own songs? They get a bigger piece of the pie.
It's also why songwriters have a couple of jobs to support themselves.

not sure-this stupid retarded mean guy I was dating once (but his personality is beside the point) was in a band, but he basically had to play a ton of shows for free and ...lose a bunch of money. I guess to actually MAKe money- he played in a bunch of cover bands like at weddings and stuff. Oh yeah, and he taught at music school.
