I am writing a report on lawn care and was trying to get an eye catching first sentance like "Did you know one dandelion seed can travel as far as ___ Miles?" You know?

Consider the attributes first. Each seed is contains a parachute. And its surface is clingy. There are thousands of seeds on a head.
So depending on the wind, updraft etc. the distance can be miles and miles and Miles.

Well, if the wind can carry chest-fulls of gold coins miles up into the atmosphere, it most certainly could give a dandelion seed a trans-pacific flight.

Theoretically, any distance so long as there is sufficient wind to provide lift. There is no specific distance.
