My fiance and I agree that all household duties should be shared. Also, thats why i made sure to find a man who knows how to do laundry and at least knows the basics in the kitchen. I will be his wife, not his mother, thank you very much.

I can't believe how many people here seem to think staying at home is not work. I'm assuming that's if you don't have kids, because if you are a stay at home parent, you are working harder than any other job! I'm a SAHM, and I do most of the housework as well as raise our two small children. He doesn't have to ask me at all, just as I don't have to ask him to go out and make money so we can pay our bills. He helps out when he is home with the children and does take care of mowing the lawn and the garbage.

h e l l no ....he has legs, arms, feet, hands. The same things we do to do the things for them, make him do some stuff for you every once in a while or make certian days just hubbys day to cook clean, and do the laundry...it'll take alot of stress off of you and make the relationship go more smoothly

you should share your chores if both of you guys work. If he is the one that is working then it would be nice for him to come home to a cooked meal and a clean house. I think he would appreciate you more. Saturdays he could help out to. Also let him take care of the outside.

Yes, we can cook, clean and do laundry for our man, whether he says "pretty please" or not. He can also do the same for us. My marriage is 50/50 as far as the chores go, even though most of the time one of us does more - sometimes it's me, sometimes it's him, sometimes it's together. It works for us.

I say sure, why not. but the question is, are you guys mutually sharing the work, inside & outside the home. If he/she works outside the home, the SAHP should pull a little more weight at home than the one that works outside the home. At my house my husband works, I take care of things during the week & on the weekend it is a mutually discussed/cleaning up thing.

Of course! a woman looks good anytime doing the laundry and cleaning for his man. Of course she shouldn't be taken for granted but enjoy what you do. He will appreciate i bet.

Of course that is if he’s a hard working man who supports his family or girlfriend. No being if he’s just a log sitting in the water watching TV all day while you’re slaving over a hot kitchen!!!

It depends on you and what you and your husband have discussed!! This is one of those things that should have been talked about before tiding the knot!! If your husband works full time and you do not work you may want to manage the household!! know if you both work there should have been a division of chores!

I cook and do laundry for him all the time... He doesn't have to say anything.
The maid does the cleaning.
