Yes, but htey are not 100% effective. It is called Plan B. You can get it over the counter at any pharmacy if you are over 18yrs old. Plan B should never be used on a regular basis though. You should be taking birth control pills everyday (like Mircette or Ortho Tricyclin Lo) in addition to a condom, and then use Plan B only in case of emergencies (you missed a pill, your condom broke, etc).

Plan B. It DOESNT abort, but rather is a high dose of hormones that cause the lining of your uterus to thicken and prevent attachment. It is also not a fix for unsafe sex. It can also be used if safe sex practices fail and a condom breaks.

Morning after pills. Its a quicker way to abort unwanted children when two people are not thinking anything but having sex with no responsibilities.

I believe it is called Plan B. You can take it up to 72 hours after unprotected sex.

Yes, that is true. You must take them within 72 hours of having unprotected sex, preferrably within 24 hours. It just causes you to start your period.

Not so much as to prevent it, but to abort if there is any chance of pregnancy.
