it's hard..getting over and looking beyond the limitations and boundaries set by ourselves....it is so easy to resign yourself to the present existence, and believe that nothing exists for me beyond this....i can't fly because my wings are clipped, I'm not meant to fly..I'm not good enough...i don't have it in me...
..but, then you grow, and change, and see, and feel the open skies calling, and that makes you want to fly..and there are two parts of the same 'you'....one which wants to stay, and be comfortable...and one which wants to be free, to fly away...
the first one says, 'stay here..you can't fly..your wings are clipped, you'll fall'..the second part stretches the wings and tries to use them...it won't work the first time...try again...start by walking...maybe you'll fall...get up, and try again..then run...and then, maybe..if you keep trying (and dreaming)...you'll be able to fly as well....
you can do it...you can fly.. :)

If the vet quite did clip purely the feathers, the chicken will strengthen new feathers at his next moult. the lack to waft is what keeps them from flying away. yet some vets fairly decrease off the 1st joint of the 1st wing phalanax. it is everlasting, and makes the chicken unable to fly in any respect. I even have considered plastic sheaths that slip over the chicken's wing and carry the flight feathers at the same time so as that they'd't unfold the wing totally. it is extra humane.

If your self imposed limits are erroneous, then why not change them. Maybe you are just afraid to fly. If you fly you may get lost. Might be out of your personal comfort zone. You must have a reason you stifle yourself.

hey linty
You do fly.
the feeling you have is not something you are doing or thinking wrong.
I call tell you it's this world and the systems and the pain and the greed and the lack of caring.
you feel that your wings are clipped because you deep down don't want to fly in world terms...it's nothing like the flying you know to be the true soul food
be gentle.
you have greatness of heart...there are few that will understand you well enough to tell you but.... you know it. Just smile.....
you're more 'inside' than you could ever imagine...

Yes you can, if you dont believe in yourself no one will.......to get inspiration go back and learn about the greatest leaders, philosphers, scientists.......they all had their share of downfalls before they achieved success....you have to keep trying, find your true passion in life and go for it........Thomas Edison once said:
Results? Why, man, I have gotten lots of results! If I find 10,000 ways something won't work, I haven't failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is often a step forward....
It took him thousands of tries before he moved further, this should apply to all our lives....at the moment you probably feel as though there is no way to escape from your present circumstance, but thats not true, dont let these thoughts take over your life.....as long as your breathing you have a another chance.... so why take advantage of this opportunity and break free from your inner fears........

Who told you that? You can do anything and the first thing I can suggest dear is that you remember something simple like tieing shoes, when I was little i didn't think I could ever learn how to tie my shoes, but that as is changing any belief is as easy as you wish to believe it to be. That's the key word, and just teasing yourself with a possibility will start the proverbial ball rolling to change or attract or create anything. Start small as you would with anything else and just play with the idea and I grantee you will not be sorry you tryed. O and thanks you just helped me by asking this question.

If you believe that you can fly, but your wings are clipped - then you will fall flat on your face.
If you had wings, then you would fly, regardless of whether or not you desired to fly in the first place

Better to believe you have clipped wings than to believe you never had them at all because the feathers will grow back and when they do you will fly again.

That's a very good question and deserves a star. Many of us suffer from emotional wounds received long ago. Getting past them is not easy.
