Since 6/7 of the burgers were vegetarian, then 1/7 was meatburgers. Now, we simply multiply the TOTAL number of burgers (49) by 1/7 in order to find out how many meatburgers there were. Thus, 1/7 times 49 equals 7.
(1/7)(49) = 7

U sound pretty stupid but.....
There were 49, and six out of seven were vegetarian, so if you take 49 divided by 7, you get seven, and since they want how many aren't vegetarians you say 7 because that is the seventh not included in the seven. So the answer is 7!!!

first you do 6/7 which is
6/7= .857
then you multiply 49 by .857 which is
49*.857=42
now you subtract 42 from 49 to get 7 which is your answer
