and if you do, do you send them your headshot and resume?

You contact them through your agent, not directly. Most CD's don't do general meetings with actors, plus you need an agent to negotiate your contract for you or you can get screwed. If you send them a headshot, it should be labeled with what project and role it's being sent for.

That said, a list of CD's can be found on LAcasting.com, click on talent, then on the lower left under "Directories" click on Casting Directors. I don't vouch for it being complete or up to date, but it's there and it's free. Ross Reports has a list you can pay to obtain that is complete and up to date and if you subscribe to backstage.com they cut the price I believe.

Their contact info is real easy to find. You won't actually get anywhere by contacting them but it's easy to do.
