Why would anyone vote for a political party that supports higher taxes, criminal rights, minority special privledges, abortion on demand, expanded welfare programs, political correctness, illegal immigration, gay marriage, government healthcare and a terrorists bill of rights while standing against our military mission in Iraq, a free market capitalist economy, limited federal government, national sovereignty and autonomy, free religious expression in the public square and personal property rights?

Communists and other enemies of our country would vote for the democrats because their policies are anti-traditional America and they are wanting to change our country. Since it has been so successful traditionally, our enemies that want to bring us to our knees see that the chances are better with the changes. 3) Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the US would be a demonstration of "moral strength."
4) Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
5) Extension of long term loans to Russia and Soviet Satellites.
6) Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
7) Grant recognition of Red China, and admission of Red China to the UN.
8) Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the Germany question by free elections under supervision of the UN.
9) Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the US has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.
10) Allow all Soviet Satellites individual representation in the UN.
11) Promote the UN as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the UN as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo).
12) Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

14) Continue giving Russia access to the US Patent Office.
15) Capture one or both of the political parties in the US.
16) Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions, by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17) Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for Socialism, and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in text books.
18) Gain control of all student newspapers.
19) Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20) Infiltrate the press. Get control of book review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.
21) Gain control of key positions in radio, TV & motion pictures.
22) Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings," substitute shapeless, awkward, and meaningless forms.
23) Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."
24) Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
25) Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography, and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.
26) Present homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as "normal, natural, and healthy."
27) Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."
28) Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."
29) Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

31) Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of "the big picture": Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
32) Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture - - education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
33) Eliminate all laws or procedures, which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34) Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35) Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
36) Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37) Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
38) Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.
39) Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
40) Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
41) Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42) Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special interest groups should rise up and make a "united force" to solve economic, political, or social problems.
43) Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
44) Internationalize the Panama Canal.
45) Repeal the Connally Reservation so the US can not prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.

I did, because the Republicans were worse. The raised my taxes, and somehow the defecit at the same time, while cutting taxes for millionaires. In this country we believe in human rights- that's for everyone, or we're no better than the criminals and terrorists that you're so afraid of. Who's asked for minority special priveleges?

Political correctness is just another word for manners, and treating people with respect. Why would you have a problem with that?

If I remember correctly (and I do), it was the Bush adminstration that proposed amnesty for illegal aliens- the Democratic party has been smart enough to stay away from that quagmire because they know what will happen to every farm in the country if illegal immigration is actually stopped. You want to pay $8 per potato to satisfy your own racism?

What is the big deal with Gay marriage? Who cares what gay dudes call themselves? If you want to preserve the sanctity of marriage, lets start with the 30% divorce rate. Besides, what have the Republicans actually DONE about it?

Government Healthcare is a lemon, I'll agree, but no party has everything.

Terrorist Bill of Rights goes back to Inalienable Human Rights. Either they're inalienable for everyone, or you don't get them either. Which is it?

The only people who've stood against our military are the ones who re-elected that corrupt fool to lead them. They've done they're job to protect us, and you failed them by electing bad leadership for them because of gay marriage. Whatever.

A free market capitalist economy doesn't include government bail-outs to mega corporations. That's what the Republicans think of the economy- that it can't stand on its own. The dollar is half a euro thanks to the Bush Administration.

You don't limit the federal government by increasing it's size. Since Bush took office, he added a whole new branch to the cabinet, and now he wants to expand it further by appointing a "war czar". Do you even know what limited federal government means?

Who's challenged the Sovereignty or Autonomy of the United States of America? Again, I don't think you know what those words mean.

Dems fight for your rights- it's the Republicans who've been caught again, and again ignoring the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th amendments (that's half the bill of rights including the ones dealing with property rights), in the name of hunting down imaginary terrorists. How many actual terrorists were caught by illegal wiretaps? Zero. Instead it's been the American People who've caught them, by paying attention. We're strong and capable, here in the home of the brave, and we don't need some massive Department of Homeland Security looking over our shoulders.

Listen, I think your heart is in the right place, but if you actually look closely at what the Republicans are doing, and what they've done in the last 10 years, you'll see that they've handed you a bill of goods. The Democrats are more Conservative than the Republicans these days.

No, but about 85-90%. And it´s about the same number for Republicans- 85-90%. If Obama wins 87% of Democrats, McCain 89% of Republicans and they split independents, Obama wins by several points, though. And that is not even the most likely outcome- Obama leads with independents, and 89% was what BUSH got from Republicans 2004. But the GOP is not nearly as united as it was then. I´d say about 87% base support for both is fair.

WHY THE UNITED STATES NEEDS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY:

1. The Democratic Party since the turn of the century has always been on the side of the people.
2. The Democratic Party holds American Values. We are the party that believes in serving the least of these, opening our hearts to all. We may not all agree on each issue; we do agree on the basic principle of the people.
3. Historically speaking, those within the Democratic Party have caused enormous change for our country such as Labor Rights, Women’s Rights, LGBT Rights, Social Justice, Medicare, Social Security, and the list just keeps growing.

I vote Democratic because I like the Bill of Rights to be observed, I like PEACE, I like a stable economy that is not a trillion dollars in debt to Communist China because of tax cuts for billionaires. Israel, South Africa has more democracy than USA. in those countries many parties run and debate issues and in that process people get educated. this is a backward country. don't tell me then leave this country since i am here to educate you. the founders of this country were not conformist and w/o them this country would behind more as far as Democracy goes.
