They have one here and I'm debating on whether to go. What are they like now?

We used to go all the time when I was a kid. I haven't been since then. I'm thinking about going because Shrek the Third is showing, plus another feature. I can take my 2 older kids to see two movies for $13. Where else can you do that?

We have two near my town, one 10 minutes away and another about 20-25 mins. I like the farther one better because the screen is higher off the ground, so there's no restrictions on where cars can park, plus that one plays 3 movies whereas the other one only plays 2. I think you should go to a drive in at least once in your life. It's great. Definately go if there's a horror or action movie showing. I once saw the blair witch at the drive in and it was WAY better than sitting on the couch watching it...probably because it was pitch dark and I was sitting on the roof of my car.

There are two that I know of within about a half hour from where I live. One USED to show porn but now shows only family films. Can you imagine the shock if you were expecting porn and got Bambi or something? We haven't been in 15 years. Our first date in 1966 was at a drive in. We saw "the Munsters go to College", a memorable film I'd say!

Yeah they have drive - in movies over here where i live. They are pretty cool. There are like 3 of them i thing in san diego. Its cool to take friends and maybe some special over there. You get alot of privacy in your car. You listen to the movie through your car radio. Some people have bring lawn chairs watch out side. Bring the food the like and what ever they want. Its pretty cool. You could also stay and watch the next movie. Or drive to the other screen and watch another one.

Yes and we go almost every weekend. When you have kids it is cheap entertainment ($5 for adults/under 12 free)! And my kids love it. We pack a picnic and snacks and they play with the other kids until the movies start.

We do have a makeshift one that the construct every summer in the parking lot of a local skating rink, but we have never gone. They do have one that I has closed but when it was open was a huge gang hangout, and you would probably get shot if you went! I would love to have the real old fashioned drive in back though!

I remember there was like 2 here about 15 years ago. not they turned one into a costco and best buy and the other one is a swap meet.
I never went but I'd like to go now just to see what its like and say I've been once.

They got rid of them around here when the kids started getting off on rated R movies.

Yep they have one here in Michigan and it's still the same like old days except now you tune your radio to a certain station to hear the sound instead of putting that big old mic on the window.

Go. No the drive in movies got burnt down and then they shut down the one in the next city which is only an hour away.

Yes they still have one here where I live and I love it. We can all go as a family and it don't cost as much as going to the theater does. It's the same as it always has been, but then agian ours is really old. But if I were you, I would go and have a blast!!!
