I've never voted for someone base on looks(even in my shameful liberal days), I've always voted for the person I felt best stood for what I believed. These days I don't see any of that in the Democratic candidates. They talk about accomplishing things that I believe in, but they are very shortsighted. They look for the quick fix. They treat the symptoms so the voters will think they really care and vote for them. It's all band-aids and window dressing. Republicans tend to stand for something substantial. They deal with the facts first. Democrats deal emotionally with facts. That's why the media at least seems to have a liberal bias. They're both playing to the emotions first and intellect second. Liberals just tend to think with their hearts first. Emotions tend to throw things out of perspective and even the smartest people will overreact. I think it's best to separate the emotion while you assess the situation and come up with a solution. Then you can get as emotional as you want.

I don't agree that Republicans would vote necessarily for someone because of their looks. It does happen on both sides and by idiots who don't care about issues. Sometimes the best looking can be the worst leaders. Look at J. Danforth Quayle. He wasn't bad looking as a VP but what an idiot. Look at George W. Bush, he is not that bad looking and he is terrible. Abe Lincoln was one of our ugliest presidents but he was our best.

No, Americans are. In nearly every presidential election the tallest candidate has won, including the last one where Kerry won the popular vote, he was much taller than Bush.

What goes around comes around. Clinton wouldn't have won without the wet panty vote.
