The average IQ (by definition) is, and always will be 100. IQ is derived from a standard deviant that means that 50% of the population will fall between 90-110. The first standard deviant on a bell curve will contain 50% of the population. The second deviant (75-90 or 110-125) contains an additonal 40% of the population. The third deviant (below 75 and above 125) contains everyone else. It's a basic statistic problem, but by DEFINITION 100 is the average.

The average IQ is 100.
What it SHOULD be is 125; that way there would not be so many stupid questions on Yahoo Answers.
