It makes me ill, to think that you are here keeping track of the death toll of Americans in Iraq, knowing that YOU should be over there helping out in the fight. Do you enjoy the freedom of being able to post your garbage on the internet? Some places, you would be arrested for it.

Ignorant-stick your head in the sand and pretend their is no danger to the West in general and the US specifically guy... I see the mounting death toll as part of the consequence of the surge. As the US takes to the offensive with more troops, one would have to be extremely ignorant (this is where you come in) to expect the casualty rate to remain the same. You obviously don't think things through do you? Typical liberal!

Amazed. I can't imagine how they're managing to fight a protracted guerilla war like this without a much higher casualty rate. I understand that extraordinary efforts are going into getting life-saving treatment to the wounded, which keeps the death toll down, but even the overall casualty rate is quite low compared to other conflicts of similar durration.

Considering that this is war it is sad.
Point of perceptive more people have die on our highways than in Iraq.
Also this is by far the lowest numbers who have die.
Here is a question how many more have to die here in terrorist attacks before you know this is a war.
Skip the rant about 9/11. 9/11 was our invite to this war. Remember the explosive expert from the first WTC attack fled to Iraq.
USS Stark was an Iraqi attack.

I feel that it is the price of freedom. I am thankful that these soldiers are from an all volunteer army and they were willing to sacrifice their lives so that the rest of us could continue to be free. Without such people we would be living under the rule of terrorists and you would be beheaded in your front yard.

We need a daily body count for the islamo nazis.lets really make this public like we had a body count in Nam for the dinks.Mounting body count of the enemy makes me feel great. There is nothing like the smell of napalm in the morning! You probably are too naive to know what that means...

Fine, because if it wasn't for the fighting in Iraq thousands upon thousands of deaths would be happening here.

There are more people killed in this country a day by illegal aliens (25 per day) than the number of our soldiers in Iraq per day

Assuming Bush set out to ruin the US military...
Mission Accomplished.
And, um: Blastrid (above): you forget to mention that France went bankrupt and the head of state was guillotined. Then they had a little period of incredible bloodshed and internal strife.

feeling remorse and patriotic aren't the same. millions died in past wars fighting for our freedoms. why is it so hard for americans to be empathetic to the iraqi's.
the french helped us in the revolutionary war against the will of their people, and look at the freedom we now enjoy. consider this the next time you wonder why america is involved in the middle east.
