Any time that one side does not want to allow the other side to present it's point of view they paint it in a bad light. That way when the view comes to light, no one wants to take a look because they have already been prejudiced to it. I'm not a racist. I am a Democrat. I think undocumented worked should be returned to sender. It is completely unfair to the people who have waited for years to legally come to America.

Because it is the politically correct thing to do especially if you are on the left. After all, thats a big chunk of their political base. They have a real hard time understanding the word "illegal." I suppose it is hardwired into their philosophy that most everything should be legal. They make out that these folks had guns to their heads while paying a coyote $1500 to help them cross the border in the middle of the night. I love Hispanic people and most that I know are disgusted with the problem because it reflects on them which is grossly unfair. They believe that our open border will cost us plenty and they don't want to see this glaring security problem destroy the lives they have worked so hard to achieve for themselves and their families. If I oppose crime in a white or black community and I am from Peru, does that make me racist? Its a convenient nasty sounding term that has a tendency to make folks back off of the argument. It realistically has not a thing to do with that for most people. Racists don't like immigration period no matter the color or creed. Those lumberheads will always be with us. Thats why every nation on earth has "laws" about immigration. If its done right and lawfully bringem on. That is how this country became great and is our true strength. Here, fear of being different is not a death sentence. Thank God!!!

Because that is the only "cheap-shot" remark...that the Leftie's in this country, can come up with! Especially when they can't find a meaningful and plausible argument, especially on "Illegal Amigo's"? It is just so much easier to label us Racist Thug's on the Right, and continue the game! But just because I have a problem with Illegal Immigration or Special Interest's? I do not see how that...makes me a Racist!???

I myself I'm an immigrant, but to call people who want to merely debate Immigration racist, that is a term of dismissal used by people who want the broken immigration system to continue and avoid having to make the argument, that is never going to help.

Because a lot of them are. They are less interested in the complexities of our huge immigration problem than in bashing Latinos, for example, and accusing them of being responsible for all the sins of modern-day America. I am in favor of securing our borders and addressing the issue of illegal immigration but I am loath to associate myself with some of the virulent racists who post horrible derogatory comments here on YA and elsewhere.

Because none of them are advocating building a fence on the Canadian border from which the 9/11 terrorists entered the U.S.!

I do not feel that is being racist. This is being pro-american. I feel that immigrants should and must receive proper documentation, pay taxes, and do as other working americans do every day. I also feel it should be a requirement to speak in ENGLISH.
I feel the government is being racist in providing for minorities opportunities that many Americans can not and will never qualify for.

racism and immigration are two separate issues.

liberals are famous for muddying the waters. they think if they make us feel guilty enough, or publicly shame us enough, we will fall mute. - it has worked for them many times before.

BUT, you and i and a lot of others KNOW the two are unrelated and have only to keep in mind that when the libs fall short on logic, these types of insults will ensue.

buy some earplugs so you don't have to listen to it.
