I think the NBA should allow steroids. Heres why:
1. People argue that steroids are dangerous to players health. But quite honestly basketball itself is dangerous. Basketball players must train at an extremely high and often dangerous level and admittedly it is the anticipation of beholding injury that makes hoops fun to watch. Hoops are dangerous so we give the players rules to protect them. Lets do the sane for steroids regulate them and put players under the care of a speacially trained doctor but geez lets let em take some real risks for our entertainment and their enrichement. Besides its not like these athletes dont want to take them. If they want to accelerate themselves past normalty let them. Let the best acne riddle, dink shriveled roid raging super human win.
2. People say that drugs are cheating and threaten the integrity of the game. But its only cheating if some people have acess to the drugs and its against the rules. Furthermore technology has been able to shatter

records so why not drugs. Many things exist today that were not around when many records were set ie nautilus equipment, sports medicine, arthriscopic knee surgery, nutritional suppiments and scientific training regimens. Drugs are just the next step in this direction.
3. Yes. I understand drugs influence children. Children must not be allowed to buy drugs and athletes must not be allowed to endorse them. We also need to show them as with alchohol their is a difference between adult use and child use. Still no one forces kids to take up the risky preposition of proffessional athletics? Steroids or not it is a nearly an impossible buissness in which to suceed.
4. The accomplishment from drugs is not unearned. They do not build athletes they only enhance the talent and hard work they already posses.
5. Its not like were gonna stop it. They will always find ways to beat the test. So lets stop worrying about whats clean and legal and let super kobe leap over frankenshaq for a dunk on

Yeah, and what planet are you from...most players would rather do the opposite and smoke pot which lowers their atheletic ability. Basketball is a sport that is not particularly dangerous and there are very few career ending injuries. You must be very confused and thinking of the NFL because nothing you said relates to basketball. Nobody watches the games to see an injury, injuries in basketball are very boring to watch actually. Maybe you like to see a guy sprain his ankle when Bruce Bowen puts his foot under him?
